Oil changes should be performed routinely to ensure long term engine life. Includes traditional or fully synthetic motor oil and oil filter.
Brake service is typically performed every 50,000-75,000 miles. When the brakes are worn, either the brake sensor trips and your car computer alerts you the brakes need servicing or a continuous high-pitched squeal while you’re driving is the sound of a built-in wear indicator telling you that it’s time for brake service
Transmission Fluid and Filter Service
Transmission service intervals varies by car make. Some makes (Honda, Acura and others) require the transmission fluid be changed every 30,000 miles or so. Other makes (BMW and others) require the transmission fluid and filter pan be changed every 100,000 miles.
Timing Belt and Water Pump Replacement
Timing belt and water pump replacement should be performed about every 100,000 miles for cars with timing belts. (Most Honda, Acura, Subaru, Saturn and many other have cars with belts. Most BMW, Toyota, Ford and others have chains so this service is not required.) If belts are not replaced they will break, which will leave you stranded and often cause major engine damage. If your car has over 100,000 miles on it and you are not sure if the timing belt has been changed, it is highly recommended to perform this service.
Water Pump and Thermostat Replacement
Routine water pump and thermostat replacement is optional for cars with timing chains, but we recommend replacement every 100,000 miles. When this component fails it will after leave you stranded and could damage your engine from overheating.
Spark Plug Replacement
Spark plug replacement is typically performed every 100,000 miles. Failure to replace spark plugs can lead to ignition coil failure and a very rough running engine.
Ignition Coil Replacement
Routine ignition coil replacement is optional, but we recommend replacement every 100,000 to 150,000 miles especially for BMW. Failing coils typically cause rough running engines
Air Filter Filter Replacement
Engine and Cabin Air Filters are typically replaced every 50,000-75,000 miles. Dirty filters can lead to lower engine performance and poor cabin air quality.
Serpentine/Drive Belt Replacement
Serpentine belts are typically replaced every 100,000 miles. Broken belts will cause alternator, AC and often water pump failure which will leave you stranded on the side of the road.
Tie Rod Replacement
Tie rods act as the link between your vehicle’s steering system and the steering arm by your wheel hub. It is normal for the ball joints on the tie rods to wear and loosen up over time. Symptoms of worn ties rods include: Steering wheel vibrates or shakes, poor front end alignment, steering wheel feels loose, abnormal sounds, abnormal tire wear and/or vehicle vibrates.
Control Arm Replacement
Control arms connect the car’s suspension to the actual vehicle frame. Symptoms of worn control arm rubber bushings and ball joints include: Clunking noise, specifically coming from the control arm and usually following a bump, braking, or a hard turn; Steering wander – pulling to the left or right without input from the steering wheel; Un-even tire wear.
